Update from Helena

Heather has a fever and the girls heart rates are elevated. They are going in for a C-section right now. Heather remains positive. More to come soon...

Aunt Helena fills in

I spoke with Heather and Michael a few minutes ago. Everything is progressing nicely and the girls should make their highly anticipated appearance this morning some time. Heather is a trooper and doing great! Michael is a wonderful support as well! The next post will be with details of the birth, stay tuned...

Should we start a birthday pool?

Well these girls are so healthy they are hanging out past the typical 37 weeks / full term for twins! At doctors appointment yesterday they passed the non-stress test with flying colors, no signs that my body is preparing for labor, they haven't dropped, etc. So now it is just wait for them to decide when they would like their birthday to be! We are praying for sooner rather than later, not sure how much larger this mama can get.

We will do a non-stress test every Monday and Thursday to make sure they are still getting all they need from the placentas, that there is still enough fluid around them to protect them, etc.

If they don't come on their on by March 25th we will have a c-section that morning.

We will post if anything changes.

37 Weeks

Today is day 1 of 37 Weeks! Thank you all for your help, love, prayer, and support, we have made it to the goal and we know we couldn't have done it without all you. We are so blessed. Our girls are now considered full term!!!

Doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon to see how all three of us are doing. Lots of plans in place to call, text, email, and update facebook and the blog with any news this week. We can't wait to continue to share in the final stages of this pregnancy with you.

Hospital - Practice Run!

36 Weeks! - We had an appointment at the hospital on Monday so Michael decided to use that as a practice run for loading the car and getting all 4 of us to the hospital for the BIG Day!

Dad's bag is the 1 small blue bag on the front right vs. 7 items for all the girls pictured, there are still 2 more not packed for the practice trip, plus whatever they give us at the hospital!

That was just practice! Now it is Wednesday and we are enjoying iced coffee beverages on our front porch at 10:00am in the middle of winter!

You have to love living in the Colorado High Country - Glorious!!!

I feel so blessed that I am getting to relax at home, with my husband, in such an amazing place, just awaiting the arrival of our girls! My heart is overflowing!
